Welcome to Compass Counselling

Our journey and values at Compass Counselling

My name is Sarah Condron. I am a qualified psychotherapist, holding a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy, an MSc in Addiction Studies, and a Higher Diploma in Couples Therapy. I am also an accredited member of IAHIP.

I began my career working with children with autism, before moving into social care, supporting teenagers affected by trauma, addiction, and family breakdown.

After completing my training, I worked with Kildare Youth Services and later with Pieta House, where I was Clinical Manager of the Crisis Helpline.

I now work in private practice in Leixlip and Dunboyne, as well as with the Counselling Centre in Maynooth.

I aim to offer a calm, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can explore what’s going on for you, begin to make sense of things, and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

A unique approach to your well-being

My approach is centred on understanding you as an individual. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; it is tailored to your experiences, your pace, and what works best for you. I offer a neurodiversity-informed and gender-affirming space where you can feel safe, respected, and heard. The work is collaborative and focused on helping you make sense of things and move forward in a way that feels right for you.

Who we help and common challenges

I work with individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck, and want support in understanding what’s going on for them. Common challenges include anxiety, low mood, relationship difficulties, identity concerns, addiction, and life transitions. Many people come feeling unsure, unheard, or disconnected, and are looking for a safe space to explore things and begin moving forward.

"Sarah from Compass Counselling & Psychothrapy provided a safe and understanding space. I gained invaluable insights and feel much more grounded."
